customer relationships, and with valuable employees who bring fresh perspectives and tremendous expertise to our team. It’s Keysight’s fifth anniversary as an independent public company in November. What do you consider the key driver to Keysight’s success during the last five years? Without question the most important driver to our success was putting customer success at the heart of everything we do as a company. Early on, we reorganized around end markets and transformed the company to a software-centric solutions company focused on delivering full solutions that address our customers’ biggest challenges – when and where they needed them. We also introduced the Keysight Leadership Model (KLM), which is our operating model to drive continuous value creation. Customer success is at the core of the model, around which are five key practices: market insight, capital allocation, first-to-market solutions, operational excellence, and employee growth. Subsequent layers summarize the values we live by and our value propositions for shareholders, customers, and employees. We believe that putting customers first top 2% of the 500 stocks in the index. Keysight’s market capitalization increased over 75% in our fiscal 2019 which ended October 31, and that wouldn’t have happened without the success that our dedicated employees made possible for our customers. So, we’ve delivered for all our stakeholders in some pretty big ways over the past 12 months. Looking back on the past five years, I am especially proud of the 13,000-person strong Keysight team and what we have been able to achieve for our shareholders, our employees, and most of all, our customers. It’s energizing to see the technology and business success we’ve helped our customers achieve, and I couldn’t be more excited about what the future holds for our company. Tell us a little more about your 5G efforts – are your acquisitions playing a role there? Absolutely they are. In 2015we acquiredAnite, as protocol development and conformance is critical for creating new wireless devices and deploying them into networks. We’ve done some work tying together their hardware and software platforms with other technology assets in Keysight, including assets from an earlier acquisition, AT4 Wireless, to build the industry-leading 5G solution portfolio in the market today. And just this year we acquired Prisma Telecom Testing to give us some capabilities that are critical for testing the next generation of base stations currently under development. The acquisition of Ixia in 2017 both supports our 5G efforts and goes beyond them. While strictly speaking 5G is about wireless communications, the proliferation of mobile and fixed edge devices along with the exponential increase in wireless data traffic means that the core network must transform. The capabilities from Ixia uniquely position Keysight to provide solutions across the entire communications ecosystem, all the way from the mobile device to the data center, and from the physical layer all the way up the network protocol stack. So we can help customers with network visibility and security challenges and of course with network test as well.
