He commands an extensive working knowledge of Operations, with a particular strength in high-speed networks. He combines an expert understanding of optical fiber/cable technologies and applications with significant hands-on experience in the design, construction and operation of leading-edge DWDM networks. Throughout his career, Tim has directed large service organizations in the delivery of world class operational excellence for customers around the globe. He is a recognized leader in network operations, operational/logistics planning and disaster preparedness. A disruptive, innovative newcomer to the highly competitive, incredibly demanding low latency bandwidth marketplace, Spread Networks searched for and found a dynamic, charismatic Operations leader with the abilities to raise the bar on network performance to unprecedented heights while also delivering an unparalleled customer experience. Tim joined Spread Networks in the startup/pre-go live phase. Responsible for building and standing up the company’s operational capability, he was a key leader in the mostly green field construction of over 850 miles of fiber plant in both public and private rights-of-way, connecting the Chicago Board of Trade to the NASDAQ, NYSE and other major financial exchanges. Debuting in August, 2010, Spread Networks operated the fastest fiber optic trading network in the world, ultimately transporting over 60% of US daily trading volume. From the very beginning, Spread Networks received frequent recognition from customers and industry professionals alike as operating a Best in Class Carrier Operations program, delivering the highest availability, Best In-Service Customer Support and the Fastest Order delivery. Pursuing new frontiers as CEO/Principal of Energize Communications, Tim provides a comprehensive portfolio of consulting services to a range of customers, both domestically and internationally. In September, 2018, at the personal invitation of President Buhari of Nigeria, Tim participated in a United Nations General Assembly conference focused on the future of communications infrastructure in Africa. He is supporting the efforts of multiple countries to enable the strategies necessary to facilitate a technological leap forward for the world’s fastest growing continent. Tim is a meritorious graduate of the United States Naval Academy. He served 9 years on active duty in the US Navy as a Naval Aviator. He is authorized to wear the Naval Aviation Pilot Insignia, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal (3 awards), Battle Efficiency Award (3 awards) and many other ribbons and commendations.
