Ioxus has the only fully integrated ultracap manufacturing facility in North America and from there serves an extensive list of customers in the U.S., Japan, China and across Europe. In his first six months McGough led a successful refinancing round for Ioxus, bringing in blue-chip strategic investors such as GE, Conoco-Phillips, Alstom and Group Schneider for a round that was 50 percent oversubscribed. In February 2012, McGough negotiated Ioxus’ acquisition of Power Systems Corporation in Japan. As Mark continues to drive success at Ioxus, he has lead additional fund raising efforts, resulting in more than $50M of secured funds, while expanding the product line, market reach, and driving down costs. During his tenure at Ioxus, McGough has also created a management team that is considered the best in the market. Mark has overseen year over year revenue increases at Ioxus that are consistently 40-50%. Under Mark’s watch, the company has delivered game-changing technologies, such as the first 85°C rated ultracapacitor, the standard setting X-Series iCAP® suite of products, and the latest of new products; the uSTART® battery support module which has redefined the trucking industry’s expectations for quality. McGough formerly served as CEO of Pentadyne Power Corporation, Envinta Corporation and Energetics PLC, and was a division president and general manager at Maxwell Technologies, where he launched its new business unit focused on ultracapacitors. During nearly three decades of leadership with technology and energy companies, McGough has established a long track record of success in commercializing new technologies, growing revenue and initiating high-volume production. Among McGough’s achievements in his career prior to joining Ioxus, he succeeded in growing sales of Pentadyne’s energy storage technology over 4,000% in four years during very difficult economic conditions. In the last decade, McGough has raised over $100 million in private equity for energy startups, sold three companies, and prior to selling them increased revenue and gross profits each by more than 120 percent a year on average. The World Economic Forum named McGough a technology pioneer, and Red Herring Magazine identified him as a top executive in the energy tech space. He led Ioxus to #38 among Energy companies in the Inc. 500 rankings. Mark is also on the Steering Committee for the US Council on Manufacturing Competitiveness. Mr. McGough holds engineering degrees from the University of Notre Dame (BSME) and the New Jersey Institute of Technology (MSME). MARK MCGOUGH CEO of Ioxus
